Premises security is one of the many key areas addressed during the forthcoming Security Management Stage 1 (Core Skills) Course, which runs 30 July to 10 August 2007.Working on the principle that any security system should comprise deterrence, delay, detection and response, a key building vulnerability is window security. Before resorting to electronic (intrusion detection) protection of windows, there are a range of delay options to be considered. These include window bars, grilles, polycarbonate panels, window film, shutters, window mesh, security blinds and basic window locks.
