Earlier this year we warned of the promise of protest activity for 1st April, which was labelled Fossil Fools Day, with the aim of disrupting the power industry and its coal supplies. Today, 13th June has seen a major demonstration at the UK’s Drax power station by a group which is opposed to open cast coal mining.In common with many such activities, the protest has been well planned, rehearsed and conducted, with protesters planning to stay in place for several days.
