Dirty Bomb Attack on Major City Overdue Says Canadian Security Intelligence Service

A Canadian government study says the explosion of a small dirty bomb in a city such as Ottawa would spew radioactivity over four square kilometres, resulting in mass anxiety, a rush on medical facilities and an economic toll of up to $23.5 billion.

As a result whole buildings, and indeed districts, could become no-go zones for months or years as responders battle to clean up radiation.
