The environmental activist organisation Rising Tide is calling for a day of action on 1 April 2008 against “fossil fuel” facilities including coal-fired power stations.Rising Tide is a catalyst organisation which is often the trigger for other activist organisations to take action. Coal-fired power stations across the world should be prepared for site invasions around this date with the aim of climbing chimneys and unfurling banners or attempting to deactivate coal conveyors.
